Makeup Cosmetics Detail

Although most women use makeup, many of them don’t have any idea about what exactly it is they are putting on their skin on a regular basis. As more and more emphasis is placed on mass production and smaller overheads, many big companies have resorted to using ingredients that, when looked at properly, are far from appealing. Much of the cosmetics market today is dominated by the use of chemicals such as titanium dioxide and aluminium chlorohydrate as well as animal products like stearic acid (pig fat – a common irritant of the skin).
These elements of the cosmetics you use are strongly linked to allergic reactions, skin irritation and some studies have also shown that they can be linked to cancer in some instances. Because of this, it is highly recommended to use vegan products which use only natural, organic ingredients. Certainly, over the years there has been a higher emphasis placed on the importance of cruelty free makeup and many companies now clearly advertise the fact that they are against this. Companies like the Bodyshop have been growing for years and recently, high street supplier of cosmetics Lush staged a protest in which their store front was turned into a bloody scene gaining much controversy, but despite these proclamations of “cruelty free” make up and skin care, animal products continue to be used regularly causing a lot of problems for the skin.
